Our Community Life
Community is for us a place of encounter both with God and with each other. We are not only part of a community; we are called to live community by coming together in prayer, fellowship, and shared mission. It is a free and grace-filled commitment to a God-given place, a God-given rhythm, God-given relationships, a God-given lifestyle, and a God-given mission.
We pray together
As a living temple of the Holy Spirit, the Community prays together in many ways: through praise and worship, adoration, intercession, liturgy and spontaneous prayer, lectio divina and quiet reflection, as well as healing and ministry.
The whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Eph 2:21)
We fellowship together
As a family in Christ, the Community fosters relationships that bless and encourage one another on life’s journey, supporting both spiritual growth and practical daily living as disciples of the Lord.
Encourage one another and build each other up (1 Thess 5:11)
We do mission together
As a team on mission, the Community lives its call in many ways: through outreach and inreach, witness and evangelisation, special events and courses (locally and internationally), training and equipping, and the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesian 2:10)
Community Meetings
The Community gathers at least three times each month, according to each member’s level of commitment. Once a month on Sunday, we celebrate the Eucharist together as a community. On one Wednesday each month, we meet for an extended time of prayer, worship, and teaching on various topics. In addition, members come together monthly in their small Cenacolo groups for deeper fellowship and sharing.
Small Groups
Cenacolo Small Groups
Each small group, led by its Cenacolo leader, gathers regularly for prayer, Bible study, lectio divina, sharing, and fellowship—strengthening both faith and relationships. Every year during Lent, each Cenacolo also holds a weekend retreat, following common teaching material prepared for all groups.
Homegroups
A few times each year, the Community also meets in Homegroups. These are “mix and match” gatherings that bring together members who may not otherwise meet, creating opportunities to pray, discuss, and enjoy fellowship across the wider community.
Community Fellowship
Beyond our times of prayer and small group fellowship, members of the Community treasure moments when we can simply enjoy being together. Annual events such as our picnic, BBQ, and other similar gatherings help nurture friendship and strengthen the sense of belonging within our growing community.
The Eucharist
The Eucharist is a central gathering for our Community. In addition to our regular monthly Mass, where the Sacrament of Reconciliation is also always available, we celebrate together on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and throughout the Holy Week liturgies. Families with young children also have the opportunity to attend earlier Masses on Christmas Eve and at the Easter Vigil.
Teams
Our mission is only achievable because the God who provides and gives grace, has blessed us with the most important resources, which is the members of the Community. You can read about the various ministries and teams in the next section.
