Our mission is only possible because of God’s grace and providence, also expressed through the greatest resource He has given us, the members of our Community. In the next section, you can read about the many ministries and teams through which our members serve.
Local Outreach Mission and Teams
Youth Ministry
Our primary outreach is rooted in the founding charism the Lord entrusted to the Community at its establishment in 1987.
Each week, our open Youth Fellowship gatherings provide a space of prayer and encounter. The prayer meetings consist of a time of praise and worship, a talk and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which invite a personal and communal response to the Lord’s Word and Presence. At times the meeting is a celebration of the Eucharist.
Youth Fellowship also provides an opportunity for young people to build lasting friendships, experience a sense of belonging, and engage in service. The Service Team is always present to listen, encourage, and accompany those who seek support.
Other Youth Ministry Sections
Seven
This 7 session course is an excellent way to introduce people to an accompanied interior journey together with the Community. Through a series of 7 sessions that run for 7 weeks, each with a set of 7 Q&As, the aim is to lead the participants to an experiential knowledge of the love and truth of God.
72 & 72+ Discipleship Course
For those who wish to continue deepening their faith and serving within the Community, the journey continues with a Discipleship Course over the period of approximately 3 years.
Other Local Outreaches and Meetings
Lamps Street Outreach
Outside the chapel and on the streets, our Teams reach out to passersby with food, drink, and a friendly smile—creating simple but meaningful moments of encounter. We offer the opportunity to share faith and give witness, and we invite those who are open to step inside the chapel to pray before the Blessed Sacrament.
International Missions
Living Waters
The Team and its volunteers serve in Ethiopia through missionary, evangelistic, and pastoral work. They help finance and oversee several water projects, and organise formation weekends for catechists and youth in various parishes.
International Collaboration
We partner with other groups to help in the organisation of international conferences as well as short-term missions both in Malta and abroad. Over the years, we have collaborated with communities and teams from the US, Canada, Poland, France, the UK, Lithuania, and Italy.
Inreach Mission and Teams
Many Community members serve in various teams whose mission it is to reach out to members of the Community, help organise its events, keep the practical things running and foster unity in diversity.
Intercession Team
The Intercession Team meets to pray for the community members, special prayer requests as well as the various outreach events.
Couples Team
The Couples Team reaches out to both those married and those approaching marriage within the Community. Through its various meetings and initiatives, the Team supports, encourages and helps couples enrich their marriages and Christian family life.
Children's Team
The Children’s Team gives our numerous children an experience of the Christian faith lived in the community which they too belong to. In various creative and fun ways, the Team makes every effort to help them integrate from a young age and to build their own friendships.
Inreach Team
The Inreach Team reaches out to members in the community who may be in need of practical assistance, and organises visits to people who are in hospital or unwell at home. It also organises a number of fellowship events to encourage relationship building amongst the members of the community.
Bethel
Bethel, as the name suggests, oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the Community Meeting Places.
Doulos
Doulos is our hospitality and ushering team which takes care of logistical requirements of community meeting and events.
Liturgy Team
The Liturgy Team takes care of the overall preparation and co-ordination of all liturgical celebrations.
Tech Teams
The Lights, Sound and AV Teams are those teams without which our larger meetings would not exist. Their work ranges from keeping the sound top notch, to screening the audio visuals, to online streaming and keeping the stage and hall lit appropriately for all our events.
Leadership Structure
The Community is led by the Council, which carries responsibility for the overall mission and vision of the Community. Alongside the Council, the Pastoral Group and the Cenacolo & Team Leadership Team—made up of many leaders with different areas of responsibility—meet regularly for prayer and for ongoing formation in leadership. These times together also strengthen unity, discernment, and the call to serve faithfully.
Worship Bands
Community Worship Team
Our Community Worship is the first band, today made up of 12 members who offer their services during all of our Community meetings.
Pilgrim & King
Pilgrim & King have written a number of original songs, released 2 albums titled Glorious and This is Grace and currently serve within the Youth Ministry.
Vine
Vine have been serving within the Youth Ministry for the last 10 years and they’ve released some original songs.
Echo
ECHO is our newest band to date very actively involved in our Youth Ministry and with their songwriting.
